Although long shots can look overly soft, the anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture can be quite detailed, easily showing off the intricacies of the different textures in the footage well. Edge enhancement can be a problem on high-contrast transitions. Source element artifacts are rarely a problem, and film grain is generally limited. Shadow delineation is good, as is contrast.
