Subscribe FreeDean Stiffle (Bell) is your normal run-of-the-mill teenager living in identical-home suburbia with a note-scribbling father (Fichtner) and lifestyle-pushing mother (Janney), but when he finds his best friend dead and fails to share this with anyone, he turns this seemingly idyllic community on end, with all characters' lives unravelling and colliding to a sad end. Falling into the "dark comedy" genre, The Chumscrubber is actually a surreal and ultimately sad look into the medicated and ignored life of urban teenagers. (Jack Kelley)
