People are afraid to admit how great a part of life is dependant on luck. The day that Chris Wilton (Rhys Meyers) met Tom Hewett (Goode), his luck changed forever. And when Chris met Tom's sister Chloe (Mortimer), Chloe thought that she too was very lucky. However, after Chris was introduced to Tom's fiancee Nola (Johansson), the attraction between the two was undeniable, and Chris was willing to risk everything just to be with her. Nonetheless, he married Chloe, thinking he could forget about the now-out-of-the-picture Nola.
