Story Synopsis:
The lure of gold was enough to make Steve Judd (McCrea) and his pal Gil Westrum (Scott) "Ride The High Country" together. But as they crossed the Sierra Nevada's side by side, it became clear that they had different ideas about what to do with the gold they were guarding. (Tricia Spears)

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture looks great for the film's age, with colors that are vibrant and well balanced. Images are sharp and nicely detailed, although some scenes can appear soft or dated at times. Some minor edge halos are noticed, as well as occasional pixel breakup, but otherwise this is a nicely rendered picture. (Suzanne Hodges)

Soundtrack:
Although background hiss and noise are cleaned up well in the Dolby
