Story Synopsis:
Terminal illness forces May (Banks) and her teenage daughter, June (Traub), to Ducktown, Tennessee, to find Daltry Calhoun (Knoxville). May's last request is that the turf entrepreneur must step up to the plate and be a father to June, an intellectual budding musician. By all outward appearances, Daltry should have no problem caring for June financially, but he is secretly liquidating his assets since bizarre growths began popping up on golf courses across the states. The burden seems to be too much for Daltry to bear, but with the help of his friends and the understanding of his daughter, there just might be light at the end of the fairway. (Suzanne Hodges)

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.32:1 DVD picture exhibits generally satisfying quality, with images that can appear somewhat plugged-up at times. Colors are richly saturated, at times bordering on oversaturation. The opening scene is stylized to appear as if shot on home video and exhibits considerably poor quality. For the sentimental storytelling, the picture quality is adequate, as pixel breakup and edge enhancement are minimally distracting. (Suzanne Hodges)
