The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD, viewed in component video, exhibits a sharp and detailed picture that is appropriately dark, but presented with superb contrast and shadow delineation. Colors are nicely balanced with rich hues and deep, pure blacks. There are occasional instances of edge enhancement and minor artifacts, but there are no blatant distractions for a picture that will surely please throughout.
