With nearly twenty minutes of material restored to this Anniversary Edition of the Visual Effects Oscar
The anamorphically enhanced and windowboxed 1.66:1 DVD exhibits a well-restored picture that shows little sign of its age. Colors are rich and vibrant, with nicely rendered fleshtones and deep blacks. Though some scenes are slightly hazy, images are sharp and detailed throughout. The animated scenes are solid and smooth, with excellent color saturation. Film grain and source element artifacts are apparent, but are neither excessive nor distracting for the film
