Story Synopsis:
In Beneath The Planet Of The Apes, astronaut Brent (Franciscus) travels ahead in time in search of missing astronaut Taylor (Heston). What he finds on the planet

DVD Picture:
The non-anamorphic DVD is a recycled transfer, with only slight improvements over the LaserDisc reviewed in Issue 31. When directly compared to the LaserDisc, the picture exhibits sharper images and improved clarity. Viewed alone, images can appear sharp, but other times smeared and undefined. For its age, colors are rich, but fleshtones are brownish for a dated appearance. Fine film grain and source element artifacts are apparent, but not to an excessive degree. For its age, the picture is generally pleasing, but edge enhancement and pixelization are evident and provide some distraction. (Suzanne Hodges)
