Compared to the previously released, non-anamorphic DVD, this new anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture delivers good quality and is an absolute improvement. While apparent, edge enhancement is not nearly the distraction it was on the previous version. The picture is stylized with a cold, stark appearance that is beautifully contrasted with deep pure blacks against cold bluish whites. Otherwise, hues are well balanced.
