The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits excellent shadow delineation in its opening scene. Colors are vibrant and well contrasted with the deepest blacks. The brighter scenes are stylized with warm golden hues. Images are sharp and detailed with excellent fine background definition and clarity. There are a few instances in which fine details shimmer, like the fence on the bridge in the finale of the movie, but distractions like edge enhancement and pixelization are rarely noticed, if at all. Overall, the picture should surely please, as image quality is excellent. (Suzanne Hodges)
I have been reading WSR for about two years now and especially enjoy the product review section. Although the other articles and review sections are generally well-written and informative, the product reviews give me an unbiased look at new technologies and products. Being in the home theatre design field, I look at many different sources for product ups and downs and find your magazine a very valuable resource in this area. Keep up the great work!!
