The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits a nicely rendered picture, with images that are sharp, with good contrast and shadow delineation. The picture can be quite crisp and finely detailed. Colors are well balanced, with accurate fleshtones, naturally rendered hues, and generally deep blacks. The picture can have a hard-edged quality, with apparent edge enhancement. Finer details shimmer on occasion. The source element is clean, with infrequent artifacts, and fine film grain occasionally detected. (Suzanne Hodges)
