The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD has a dated, and slightly dark appearance. Colors are nicely rendered, with rich hues, but at times appear a bit washed out with weaker blacks. Images are generally sharp, with generally good detail, but minor smearing and lack of definition is occasional. Visual information is generally good in the darker scenes. Edge enhancement can be bothersome at times. Source element artifacts and film grain are apparent throughout. (Suzanne Hodges)
Reason #10 Why Readers Love Widescreen Review:
I have read and researched many so called hi-fi mags to find intelligent and well-balanced professional reviews on new home theatre equipment for my new house. Widescreen Review has, in my opinion, provided me with a no-bias approach to help me in building my new dream system. Widescreen Review is my primary resource for the latest news in DVD home theatre gear. And your Web Site is an excellent place, too.
