In their second feature film, The Great Muppet Caper, Kermit and Fozzie appear as ace reporters for The Daily Chronicle. And along with their photographer, Gonzo, the boys travel to Merry Olde England to investigate the theft of fashion designer Lady Holiday
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits a nicely rendered picture. Colors are well balanced and fully saturated, with deep blacks, and natural flesh and muppet tones. The picture is generally sharp and can be nicely detailed, but at times appears a bit smeared and wanting in definition. While the picture is generally solid, the source element is revealing of artifacts and a considerable amount of film grain. Details shimmer at times, and there is some minor pixelization. Edge enhancement is generally infrequent. (Suzanne Hodges)
Reason #15 Why Readers Love Widescreen Review:
This is THE magazine that presents all that I need to have to evaluate and buy equipment, know what’s up in the industry, and which provides a listing of DVD reviews and release schedules. In short, it is an almanac for reference, opinion, and knowledge. I must say that I have read just about every magazine that deals with home theatre that has been published. Widescreen is more professional, more comprehensive, and more up-to-date than the rest. I have read the rest, but I am staying with the best.
