Blending Eastern and Western dance styles, the focused performers and profound imagery evoke a quest for spiritual enlightenment. Golden rice is a constant prop, standing for sands in an hourglass, a winding river, tumultuous rain, and desert dunes. Finally, the three tons of rice are painstakingly raked into a perfect spiral.
