DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture offers rich and well balanced colors to support the wide open western setting of the film. Fleshtones appear slightly orange at times. While contrast and shadow delineation are usually nicely balanced, with many of the darker scenes lit by candlelight to depict the 1800s period of the movie. Pixelization is noticed on occasion, but edge enhancement can be bothersome. Overall, the picture is quite satisfying.
