The extremely controversial and much publicized The Passion Of The Christ is Mel Gibson's version of the story of Jesus of Nazareth (Caviezel) and his final hours of life. Very graphic in detail, the film is not for the squeamish, as it vividly portrays Jesus being beaten and crucified before being nailed to the cross. Whether or not you believe that this is a religiously accurate portrayal of true events, it is a cinematic masterpiece. (Tricia Littrell)
