WALL•E (voice of Burtt) is a determined and curious robot, who, after hundreds of lonely years of doing what he was built for, discovers a new purpose in life when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE (voice of Knight). A robot love story unfolds upon meeting on Earth, and together they board a human-inhabited spaceship on a fantastic journey across the universe, ultimately rediscovering Earth. WALL•E stands for Waste Allocation Load Lifter • Earth Class, and it is his job to clean up the trash left behind by humans, who left the uninhabited Earth on a five-year cruise that turns out to last nearly 700 years. While doing his duties, WALL•E discovers a small plant growing, which EVE collects for analysis on the spaceship. This is a really imaginative experience with a heart-warming story and message that is sure to entertain the whole family. (Gary Reber)

The 2.41:1 1080p AVC picture quality is fantastic and is reference quality throughout! Colors are rendered to appear natural, not overly saturated. Blacks are deep, while shadow delineation is perfectly rendered to heighten the sense of depth. Contrast is exemplary as well. There are no artifacts or noise to distract or mar the quality imagery. Both the earth and the spaceship are beautifully rendered. The interior spaceship scenes exhibit a vibrant color pallette that is exciting visually, and the animated humans' fleshtones are nicely rendered. This is an exemplary reference picture to cherish. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is wonderfully recorded and presents an immersing holosonic® experience throughout, with few exceptions, where the soundfield collapses to the front channels. This is an effects soundtrack, and the effects and Foley artists are the stars of this soundtrack. The sounds are inventive and natural sounding at the same time. The aggressive surrounds are directionalized, and bass extension is deep and often powerful before 25 Hz. The music score is beautifully recorded and immerses the listener in a wide and deep soundfield. The robot voicings are cute, and the ADR human voicings are nicely integrated spatially and always well articulated. (Gary Reber)
