Based on the characters created by Gary Scott Thompson, Van Diesel and Paul Walker re-team for another chapter of the street racing franchise: Fast & Furious. Heading back to the street where it all began, they rejoin Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster, blasting through Los Angeles and into the Mexican desert in exotic muscle cars, in a backdrop of exacting revenge on a common enemy. From convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls, the limits are pushed of what is possible behind the wheel. (Gary Reber)

Special features include commentary with Director Justin Lin; nine featurettes: Los Bandoleros (HD 20:23)—a short film depicting the backstory of characters, Under The Hood—Muscle Cars (HD 06:55), Under The Hood—Imports (HD 04:59), Getting The Gang Back Together (HD 09:50), Driving School With Van Diesel (HD 03:50), Shooting the Big Rig Heist (HD 09:47), Races And Chase (HD 11:01), High Octane Action: The Stunts (HD 11:22), and South Of The Border (HD 02:55); the "Blanco" music video by Pitbull, featuring Pharrell (SD 04:11); a gag reel (HD 05.00); trailers from all four films; U-Control, offering a personal visual commentary by Director Justin Lin and Actor Paul Walker and views of specs on particular cars in a virtual car garage; BD-Live interactivity; plus a digital copy of the film.

The 1080p VC-1 picture exhibits a stylized warm look with rich, colorful hues. Contrast is excellent, with deep, solid blacks and excellent shadow delineation. Fleshtones are healthy looking throughout. Resolution is excellent, with fine facial features revealed, as well as details in clothing and objects. Colors are vibrant and at times pop, yet look perfectly natural. This is a beautifully photographed picture that is sure to please. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is aggressively holosonic® with high-energy directionalized surrounds, deep rumbling bass below 25 Hz in the .1 LFE channel, and a hammering music score that fills the soundfield. Atmospheric sound effects are effectively enveloping with, at times, an impressive presence. Dialogue sounds spatially realistic within each scene. The music score is well recorded, with a wide and deep soundstage and a prominent low-bass foundation. The music is striking, for its aggressive surround presence and immersive quality. This is a high-energy soundtrack that is spirited and aggressively enveloping, with impressive localized effects and sound effect pans. (Gary Reber)
