The 2.35:1 1080p AVC picture looks terrific. Contrast is well balanced, with deep, solid blacks that reveal good detail and excellent shadow delineation. Shadows are nicely dimensional, providing an enhanced depth to the picture. Fleshtones are perfectly natural throughout. Colors are naturally rendered, with rich and warm hues that provide a pleasing visual experience. Resolution is excellent, with sharp and clear imagery that reveals fine facial features and object textures. This is a nicely rendered picture that is sure to please. (Gary Reber)
The Dolby® TrueHD 5.1-channel soundtrack is conventionally produced, with dialogue production sound and ADR, which at times is wanting in spatial integration. However, dialogue is perfectly intelligible and natural sounding. The music is nicely recorded, with a wide and deep soundstage, and provides an extended surround presence. On occasion, atmospheric sound effects and other effects are prevalent in the surround, and at times, effectively dimensional. The lower-frequency spectrum provides a solid foundation to the soundtrack. Overall, this is a pleasing soundtrack that nicely enhances the storytelling. (Gary Reber)
