Robin Williams stars as Lance Clayton, a man who has learned to settle. He dreamed of being a rich and famous writer, but has only managed to make it as an unpopular high school poetry teacher. His only son Kyle (Sabara) is an insufferable jackass who won't give his father the time of day. Lance is dating Claire (Gilmore), the school's adorable art teacher, but she doesn't want to get serious, or even acknowledge publicly that they are dating. Then, in the wake of a freak accident, Lance suffers the worst tragedy and greatest opportunity of his life. He is suddenly faced with the possibility of all the fame, fortune, and popularity he ever dreamed of, if he can only live with the knowledge of how he got there. (Tricia Spears)

Special features include commentary with Writer/Director Bobcat Goldthwait, five deleted scenes, four outtakes, the featurette Behind The Scenes: WWBCD? (SD 18:35), "HDNet: A Look At World's Greatest Dad" (HD 04:42), the "I Hope I Become A Ghost" music video by The Deadly Syndrome, trailers, BD-Live interactivity, and up-front ads.

The 1.84:1 1080p VC-1 picture is pleasing enough but not particularly distinguished. The color palette is slightly desaturated, with muted colors and fleshtones that look unnaturally pale throughout. This is an unimpressive picture that looks more like a DVD than a Blu-ray Disc™. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is purely conventional, and with the exception of the music score, is monaural, with virtually no stereo front-channel support. It seems that the soundtrack was never finished. This is a dialogue-focused soundtrack, but the dialogue has no dimension, but does have fairly good production-sound spatial integration. (Gary Reber)
