The 1.78:1 1080p MVC 3D picture animation and conversion was performed by Stereo D. The imagery is perfectly delightful and a very fun and entertaining 3D animated feature with live action segments. Depth and perspective are outstanding, as well as the sense of dimensional volume in the characters and objects throughout the animation, CGI, and live action pieces. Even the opening scene on a deserted island exhibits excellent dimensional separation between the dense green foliage. The CGI effects are pretty cool and excitingly three dimensional. At times the imagery projects bits and pieces out of the screen, which enhances the visual fun. The classically animated underwater segments exhibit a natural sense of space and the penetration of bubbles that drift and exhibit effective depth. The color palette is gorgeous, with hues that continually pop with saturated density. Colors are rich and vivid throughout. Fleshtones are rendered naturally with a healthy saturation. Resolution is excellent, with clean lines and descriptive textures. The imagery is impressively pristine and sharp throughout. While the 2D version is exemplary as a reference animated picture, the 3D presentation is far superior. This is an absolutely wonderful 3D visual experience that will thrill children and entertain adults. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is driven by a vigorously active orchestral score with superb fidelity and soundstage dimension that aggressive extends to the surrounds, which delivers a sense of holosonic® envelopment. Deep bass in the .1 LFE enhances the music and the energized action sequences. Atmospherics and sound effects are engaging across the soundstage, but the music is the element that completely engages the soundfield with immersion. Still, sound effects such as propellor planes, artillery potato fire, and a moment of thunder are hefty sounding. There is so much going on with the fast action that every sound element shines. Throughout it all, dialogue sounds intelligible with good spatial integration and wonderful clarity. This is a wonderfully energetic and dimensional soundtrack with superb fidelity that perfectly complements the visual fun, for an exhilarating immersive sonic reference experience. (Gary Reber)
