Based on the novel by David Eggers, A Hologram For The King stars Tom Hanks as Alan Clay, a recently divorced American businessman who is sent to Saudi Arabia to pitch a state-of-the-art holographic teleconferencing system to a king. As Alan vainly tries to navigate new and unusual customs, he finds himself thrust into a series of wonderful misadventures and a fateful encounter that changes his life forever. (Gary Reber)

Special features include a making-of featurette (HD 19:56) and the featurettes From the Novel To Screen: The Adaptation Of 'A Hologram For The King' (HD 11:53) and Perfecting The Culture (HD 10:14), upfront previews, and an UltraViolet digital copy. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is quite natural sounding with effective dynamics. While dialogue focused, atmospherics and sound effects enhance the storytelling, punctuated with burst of deep .1 LFE bass. The music score weaves in and out and is delivered with excellent fidelity and a wide and deep soundstage. The atmospherics and sound effects, as well as the music, extends to the surrounds for effective envelopment. Dialogue is perfectly natural with good spatial integration. This is a delightful soundtrack that nicely complements the storytelling. (Gary Reber)
