In "A Dog's Courage," Jacob, a feisty and playful dog abandoned by his owners, joins a pack of strays and embarks on a journey filled with fun adventures and life lessons in their pursuit to find a new and loving home in the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea. (Gary Reber)

Special features include trailers, upfront previews and both the original Korean language and an all-new English dub.

The 2.39:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a Sony Bravia Z9D 4K Ultra HD HDR display, upconverted to 2160p with greater resolution and luminance, was animated digitally and sourced from a 2K master Digital Intermediate format. The animation exhibits perfectly saturated colors with natural hues from earthy green and brownish tones to urban tones of cityscapes. The imagery is quite beautiful in tonality and diversity. The animation is generally quite simplistic with subtle texture. Contrast is excellent. Black levels appear deep and solid. Resolution is generally good with sharp and clear line drawings. This is a visually satisfying animated movie that will warm the heart. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel English-language soundtrack features a dynamic orchestral score that spreads wide and deep, with strong extension to the surrounds for aggressive envelopment. Sound effects effectively enhance the proceedings with directionalization, such as dogs barking. Dialogue is intelligible including the voicings of the dogs, but the ADR is a bit forward sounding. This is an effective holosonic® soundtrack that is often exciting, but sad, and emotionally upsetting, especially for dog lovers. (Gary Reber)
