In "The Addams Family 2," Morticia (Charlize Theron) and Gomez (Oscar Isaac) are distraught that their children are growing up, skipping family dinners, and totally consumed with "scream time." to reclaim their bond, they decide to cram Wednesday (Chloé Grace Moretz, Pugsley (Javon "Wanna" Walton), Uncle Fester (Nick Kroll) and the crew into their haunted camper and hit the road for one last miserable family vacation. What could possibly go wrong? (Gary Reber)

Special features include the featurettes "We're Altogether Addams" (HD 08:51), "Courage To Be Kooky" (HD 02:41) and "The Addams Family Road Trip Checklist" (HD 04:04) and a Movies Anywhere digital code.

The 1.85:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a Sony Bravia Z9D 4K Ultra HD HDR display, upconverted to 2160p with greater resolution and luminance, was animated digitally at 1.85:1 and sourced from a 2K master Digital Intermediate format. Picture quality is superb with a vibrant color palette that exhibits a wonderful diversity of hues, often that pop. The animation really is vivid as well as the environments that serve as the backdrops. Resolution is excellent with fine detail and texture exhibited in every frame, Sharpness and clarity is outstanding. Production design and character creation are wonderful. The animation is amazingly fluid. Contrast is excellent with a wide dynamic range from the deepest blacks to revealing shadows with bright white levels. This is a fabulous picture with fun imagery and brilliant colors for a reference experience, (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1-channel soundtrack is very active with a dynamic music score and punchy sound effects. Foley sound effects are perfectly synced and enhance the animated movements. Sound effects are all manner of impression such as clash effects and explosions, and sounds to emphasize the action imagery. The sound effects and music segments are powerfully fortified with deep, pounding bass to sub-25 Hz. Surround enemy is aggressive and fully enveloping. ADR dialogue is intelligent throughout. Fidelity is superb. This is a wonderful and fun infested holosonic® soundtrack that is sure to put smiles on the face of every member of the family. (Gary Reber)
