"Missing" is a thrilling roller-coaster mystery that make you wonder how well you know those closest to you. When her mother (Nia Long) disappears while on vacation in Columbia with her new boyfriend, June's (Storm Reid) search for answers is hindered by international red tape. Stuck thousands of miles away in Los Angeles, June creativity uses all the latest technology at her fingertips to try and find her before it's too late. But as she digs deeper, her digital sleuthing raises more questions than answerws...and when June unravels secrets about her mom, she discovers that she never really knew her at all. (Gary Reber)

Special features include filmmaker commentary, four deleted scenes (HD 09:07), a behind-the-scenes featurette; four featurettes: "Hunting For the Missing Easter Eggs (HD 08:28), "Storm Reid And The Challenge Of Missing" (HD 05:34), "Misdirects, Online Crimes And The Social Media Mystery" (HD 06:53) and "The Secrets That Rule Our Lives" (HD 05:10), "Making A Frame Timelapse" (HD 0:48); upfront previews and a digital copy.

The 1.85:1 1080p picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photographed digitally using the Arri Alexa Mini camera system and sourced from a 2K master Digital Intermediate format. The picture is centered on images on a computer screen and images shot on an iPhone as background imagery. News casts also are included. Some segments show live segments. Resolution is good, especially related to computer writings. Contrast is generally good as is the color palette. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1-channel soundtrack is dialogue focused with conversation between June, her friend, a Columbian detective, and the FBI lead in the disappearance case. Sound effects of the computer usage are terrific.. There is an eerie music score that occupies a wide and deep soundstage that aggressively extends to the surrounds. Bass response is strong at times during intense segments. Dialogue is intelligible with good spatial integration. This is an interesting holosonic® soundtrack that incorporates computer and real-life sonics. (Gary Reber)
