In "Punto Rojo," Diego (Demián Salomón) is a crook and a hooligan for "Racing Car", one of Argentina's greatest soccer teams. While sitting in his car in the middle of nowhere and participating in a quiz show about his beloved football team, a man suddenly falls from the sky and into his windshield. When a tough as nails female secret agent (Mariana Anghileri) arrives to confront Diego and asks about the dangerous con man keeping a dark secret who happens to be kidnapped in the trunk of his car, all hell is about to break loose! (Gary Reber)

Special features include commentary with Director Nicanor Loreti, the short film "Pinball" (HD 13:06) and trailer.

The 2.39:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was animated digitally and sourced from a 2K Digital Intermediate. The picture is low budget but quite artsy with long sequences of scenes, whether out in the fields of nowhere or an underground garage shot in virtual black and white, Both feature a turquoise car as the focus color element. The black-and-white sequences deliver good gray scale. The color sequences exhibit rich and warm hues that appear realistic. Flesh tones are naturally hued. Contrast is well balanced with deep black levels, good shadow delineation and realistic white levels. Resolution is excellent with fine detail exhibited during closeups of facial features, clothing fabrics and object texture, This is a compelling visual experience. (Gary Reber)

The propulsive DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1-channel Spanish soundtrack is accompanied with white English subtitles at the bottom of the frame. The soundtrack features a nicely creative rhythmic synthesizer score accompanied with a snarly guitar sound that is powerfully forward sounding with a wide soundstage presence and directionalized surround envelopment. Atmospherics are realistic sounding and sound effects, such a gunfire, are powerfully loud with deep bass support. As dialogue is the focus, it is clear throughout with excellent spatial integration. This is a well crafted holosonic® soundtrack that is compelling. (Gary Reber)
