"Lilo & Stitch" is a vibrant reimagining of a Disney animated classic that brings new energy into the hilarious and heart-warming tale of Lilo and her cute-yet-chaotic adopted “pet” Stitch. Lush tropical settings provide welcoming visuals as warm as the “found family” that Lilo and Stitch create together, while also authentically honoring the cultures and beauty of Hawai'i. (Gary Reber)

Special features include the featurettes "Ohana Means Family: Making Lilo & Stitch" (HD 16:33) and "Drawn To Life" (HD 06:54) and "Scenes With Stitch" (HD 06:10), bloopers (HD 01:35), two deleted scenes (HD 01:56) and a Movies Anywhere digital copy.

The 2.39:1 2160p HEVC/H.265 Ultra HD Dolby Vision/HDR10 picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photographed using the Arri Alexa 35 camera system and sourced from a 4K master Digital Intermediate format. Picture quality is excellent. The setting is an Hawaiian island, The characters are both animated beings from an alien planet and humans. The animation is wonderful as well as the visual special effects. The color palette is nicely saturated with rich and warm hues that exhibit excellent nuance shadings. The lush island foliage and ocean colors are beautifully realistic, At times, colors pop with vividness. Flesh tones are perfectly natural. HDR contrast is superbly dynamic, Black levels are realistic with revealing shadings, Shadow delineation reveals excellent depth and shadings, White levels are brightly illuminated, Resolution is excellent with fine detail exhibited in facial features and complexions, including Stitch's body fibers. The island settings are realistic throughout as well as the housing and buildings, Clothing fabrics are nicely textured. Objects throughout are realistic. This is a bright and attractive picture that is fun to watch and one the entire family will love. (Gary Reber)

The Dolby Atmos/Dolby TrueHD 7.1-channel soundtrack is nicely crafted with realistic atmospherics and lots of special effects during the numerous action sequences with the mayhem that Stitch creates. The spaceships and planet settings are presented with perfect sonics. The orchestra/choral score delivers excellent fidelity. The music occupies a wide and deep soundstage that extends to the surrounds to envelop the sound field. Some music segments feature rhythmic drums. At times, bass extension is deep with active .1 LFE. Surround envelopment is dimensionally enveloping. Dialogue is clear with generally good spatial integration, even the ADR production.

The Immersive Sound element s comprised of an extension of the orchestra/choral score to the height layer along with the occasional sound effect and atmospheric. At times the height layer nicely enhances the sense of dimensional enhancement, but far more treatment could have been achieved.

This is a pleasant, fun and satisfying holosonic® soundtrack that delivers thrills the entire family will love, (Gary Reber)
