He’s got a great girl (Zoë Kravitz), tends bar at a New York dive, and his favorite team is making an underdog run at the pennant. When his punk-rock neighbor Russ (Matt Smith) asks him to take care of his cat for a few days, Hank suddenly finds himself caught in the middle of a motley crew of threatening gangsters. They all want a piece of him; the problem is he has no idea why. As Hank attempts to evade their ever-tightening grip, he’s got to use all his hustle to stay alive long enough to find out… (Gary Reber)

The setting is New York City central city with high density structures. Everything looks perfectly realistic and natural with excellent image depth. The color palette exhibits realistic saturation with naturally toned hues. At times colors pop, such as bright reds. Flesh tones are perfectly natural. HDR contrast is excellent. Black levels are perfectly deep and realistic. Shadow delineation is revealing, White levels are realistically illuminated. Resolution is excellent. The imagery is sharp and clear, as well as filmic. Facial features reveal complexions, skin pores, lines, eye brows, hair and beards. wardrobes are realistic and revealing of fabric texture. Structural and object textures are detailed. This is a tense and exciting thrill ride that is full of twists and turns. (Gary Reber)

The Dolby Atmos/Dolby TrueHD 7.1-channel soundtrack is dynamic sounding with lots of sound effects intensified with deep, powerful bass and .1 LFE energy. Atmospherics are realistic and enveloping, Sound effects are often intense, such as hand gun, rifle and machine gun and various bangs and other effects. The music occupies a wide and deep soundstage that aggressively extends and envelops the sound field. Dialogue is a primary element and sounds intelligible throughout the ADR production but could be better. integrated.

The Immersive Sound element is comprised of an aggressive extension of the music to the height layer, city atmospherics, din, occasional dialogue, loud gunfire, some sound effects and other minor sonics. This is a very effective height layer treatment that enhances sound field dimensionality.

This is an exciting and high energy holosonic® spherical surround soundtrack with lots bass-accentuated sound effects. (Gary Reber)
