"The Americas" explores the wonders, mysteries, and fragilities of the Americas, the largest landmass on Earth, as well as extraordinary, untold wildlife tales that will resonate with millions of people all over the world. (Gary Reber)

Special features include the featurette "The Making Of The Americas" (HD 45:12) and a Movies Anywhere digital copy.

The 1.78:1:1 1080p picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photographed digitally and sourced from a 4K master Digital Intermediate format. This is a spectacular picture beautifully filmed with a wonderful color palette that captures the trillions of hues provided by nature's animals and epic landscapes. The cinematography is astounding. HDR contrast is fabulous. Resolution is incredible with fine detail revealed throughout. One will appreciate just how magnificently remarkable the earth is with life in its wildly diverse forms nurtured by it. This is simply a must see presentation to appreciate the multitude of life forms in their native habitat. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.0-channel soundtrack has a soothing and energized Hans Zimmer orchestral score and a continuous layer of the sounds of nature. Sound effecta provide sonic enhancement with perfect integration and realism. Surround energy is constant and provides excellent sound field envelopment. Deep bass sounds full and at times powerful, but there is no .1 LFE extension. Tom Hanks narration is intelligible throughout with a perfect forward presence. This is a well-crafted holosonic® soundtrack that perfectly complements the extraordinary visuals. (Gary Reber)
