The 1.78:1 (not the original 1.85:1 aspect ratio) 1080p picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photographed on 35 mm film using the Panavision Panaflex camera system and sourced from a 4K Digital Intermediate. Film grain is smooth and never objectionable, The setting is futuristic exhibiting dark and muted unpleasant environments. Picture quality is terrific. The picture is sharp and clear throughout. The Technicolor color palette exhibits saturated hues with warm and rich tones. Colors, particularly primaries pop. Flesh tones appear natural and healthy. Contrast is excellent. Black levels are deep and solid. Shadows are revealing of deep shadings. White levels are nicely illuminated with stylized spot lighting to create dramatic visuals. Resolution is superb throughout. Fine detail is exhibited in all aspects of facial features, as well as costume fabrics, settings and sets. Objects are well defined with revealing texture. This is a visually exciting visual experience that is stylized. Fans will be thrilled. (Gary Reber)
