When a group of scientists are exposed to a cloud of radiation, their DNA is mutated in fantastic ways. Johnny Storm (Evans)—quite a ham before becoming supernatural—is ecstatic with the changes in his body and dubs himself the Human Torch, turning himself into an inferno whenever he pleases. Reed Richards (Gruffudd) finds that he can stretch his body like rubber and becomes known as Mr. Fantastic, while Johnny's sister Sue (Alba) becomes the Invisible Girl. Ben Grimm (Chiklis)—who had been exposed to the most amount of radiation—mutates into a behemoth of stone muscles and takes on the pseudonym of The Thing. In this sequel, the long-awaited wedding of Sue Storm and Reed Richards is crashed by a mysterious alien—the Silver Surfer—who races around the globe, wreaking havoc as he heralds the impending destruction of Earth. With time running out, the Fantastic Four reluctantly team up with the nefarious Dr. Doom in a super-powered effort to save our planet! Based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. (Gary Reber)
