    The Perfect Host follows Warwick Wilson (Pierce), the meticulously perfect host who receives an unexpected dinner guest in John Taylor (Crawford), a bank robber on the run. Yet Taylor gets more than he bargained for when he rings Warwick's doorbell. As the night wears on, secrets are revealed and it becomes clear that nothing is quite as it seems. (Gary Reber)

    Special features include a making-of featurette with Writer/Director Nick Tomnay (SD 11:14), HDNet: A Look At The Perfect Host (HD 04:36), the theatrical trailer, and up-front previews.

    The 1.78:1 1080 AVC picture exhibits a natural look, though, resolution appears a bit soft. However, at times detail is respectable and revealing. The color palette is naturally hued, with realistic fleshtones and otherwise good blacks and shadow delineation. Still, overall, this is not a particularly distinguished picture but pleasing and effectively engaging in support of the storytelling. (Gary Reber)

    The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is conventional and generally compressed, with a slightly muffled dialogue track with wanting spatial integration. Much of the soundtrack is monaural focused, with the music score providing an aggressive surround presence. Except for the music score, this is a monaural experience. (Gary Reber)

    I read WSR for a couple of reasons. First, I work in the electronics industry, and it is essential to have great demo material when presenting a product. It would be impossible to buy every DVD out there to find out what looks and sounds good in the DVD world. Second, electronics is my passion. I am constantly looking for any new information on software and hardware. WSR is a great source of information on both hardware and software.
