In Somewhere, actor Johnny Marco (Dorff) is leading a fast-paced lifestyle of a tabloid celebrity. He's comfortably numb with his life of women and pills when his 11-year-old daughter, Cleo (Fanning), unexpectedly arrives at his room at Hollywood's legendary Chateau Marmont hotel. Their time together encourages Johnny to re-question his life in ways he never expected. (Gary Reber)

Special features include a making-of featurette (HD 17:03) and BD-Live functionality.

The 1080p VC-1 picture is stylized, with whites appearing blown-out and distorted, perhaps Coppola's artistic purpose. Contrast is thus inconsistent, with muted black levels and generally poor shadow delineation. The color palette is saturated with an emphasis on warmth, at times present in fleshtones. Resolution, at times, exhibits fine detail and at other times the imagery is softly focused. The picture quality does not impress and is otherwise not distinguished. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is conventional, with a sonic frontal focus, with few exceptions, such as atmospherics of a Ferrari in motion, with directionalized roars, an ice skating rink, party patter, a TV awards gala, and other environments. Fidelity is not particularly notable and dialogue is generally intelligible but at times with poor spatial integration. Deep bass is limited in the .1 LFE channel. Overall, this is not a particularly distinguished soundtrack but no doubt delivers as intended. (Gary Reber)
