Lovely Molly Reynolds (Lodge), a newlywed who moves back into her long-abandoned childhood home, begins to experience unnerving and impossible things. What starts as a simple story about things that go bump in the night escalates into a battle for dominion over Molly's spirit, as she is beset by a cunning, malevolent force bent on wreaking havoc and terror on Molly and her family. (Gary Reber)

Special features include commentary with Director/Co-Writer Eduardo Sanchez and Co-Writer Jamie Nash; four featurettes: Path To Madness (HD 07:02), Haunted Past (HD 07:24), Demonic Forces (HD 07:23), and Is It Real? (HD 06:38); the theatrical trailer; and upfront previews.

The 1.78:1 1080p AVC picture is low budget with wait, wait, build suspense storytelling. The image quality is generally mediocre, with dark scenes veiled from shadow delineation. There is a lot of amateurish home video "REC" segments with the typical jerkiness. Those segments are poor quality throughout. The normal segments are inconsistent in picture quality. Contrast is poorly balanced with crushed blacks. Resolution is not particularly revealing either but for occasional close-ups. This is an undistinguished visual experience. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack attempts to convey a creepiness, using synthesizer techno effects. The music is presented wide across the soundstage and aggressively into the surrounds. Deep bass via the .1 LFE channel enhances the dynamics and tension. Dialogue is generally natural in spatial delineation. At times atmospherics and sound effects are effective, especially the presence of the alarm sound. This is a generally satisfactory sonic experience that nicely supports the suspense. (Gary Reber)
