Katy Perry: Part Of Me 3D is a documentary that chronicles pop star performer Katy Perry's life on and off stage, giving fans an unprecedented access to her real life. The documentary exposes the hard work, dedication, and talent of a girl who remained true to herself and her vision in order to achieve her dreams. Featuring rare behind-the-scenes interviews, personal moments between Katy and her friends, and all-access footage of rehearsals and choreography, the documentary reveals the ex-Christian singer's unwavering belief that if you can be yourself, then you can be anything. This is a story of a "good girl gone bad." (Gary Reber)

Special features include a behind-the-scenes featurette of the California Dreams Tour and an UltraViolet digital copy.

The native 3D 1.78:1 1080p MVC picture in inconsistent in quality but the snippets from the 2011 California Dream Tour is stunning. Professionally produced, the sense of stage and venue scale and depth and perspective is impressive. Everything looks natural and energized. The documentary behind the scenes is far less impressive, with an exaggerated color palette and fleshtones that border on red and orange. But the real deal is the concert footage, which is vibrant and colorful with strong saturated hues and deep, solid blacks that heightens the excitement. Resolution is excellent throughout the concert segments. This is a good example of the power of 3D to intensify the sense of being there during a live and energized concert performance. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack sounds enveloping during the concert snippet segments and is dynamic, though, strident sounding. There is so much fan screaming that the music clarity is completely masked. Still, the energy is effectively captured. But throughout there are moments in which the music is distinguished and well recorded. The documentary elements, comprised primarily of dialogue, are pretty standard and enhanced with crowd backgrounds and music. It is the concert performances that are the real ticket and sure to excite fans. (Gary Reber)
