In Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines, a small mining town hosts the legendary Mountain Man Festival on Halloween, where a crowd of costumed partygoers gather for a wild night of music and mischief. But a killer celebration soon gives way to a blood-soaked feeding frenzy when an inbred family of hillbilly cannibals trick and treat themselves to a group of visiting college students who are just dying for a good time. (Gary Reber)

Special features include commentary by Director Declan O'Brien; three featurettes: A Day In The Death (HD 05:28), Hillbilly Kills (HD 06:44), and Director Die-aries (HD 08:29); upfront previews; and a digital copy.

The 1.78:1 1080p AVC low-budget picture was shot digitally with the Red One system, but the image quality is mediocre with a "produced" digital presence that is flat and bland. Colors are natural enough, but the picture is deficient in character. Resolution is generally good, with fine detail exhibited in facial features, hair, clothing, and object texture. Contrast exhibits deep blacks and acceptable shadow delineation. Overall, the image quality is functional but not distinguished. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is conventional and dialogue driven. Atmospherics and sound effects enhance the killing scenes, with the music score providing surround envelopment. Deep bass in the .1 LFE provides an effective foundation to the music. Dialogue is surround enhanced with giggly hillbilly voices panned around the soundfield. Overall, this is an undistinguished soundtrack. (Gary Reber)
