This latest installment in the Scary Movie franchise includes send ups of Paranormal Activity, Mama, Sinister, The Evil Dead, Inception, Black Swan, Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, and pop culture featuring Ashley Tisdale, Charlie Sheen, Lindsay Lohan, Snoop Dogg, Katt Williams, Molly Shannon, Terry Crews, Simon Rex, Jerry O'Connell, Sarah Hyland, Katrina Bowden, Tyler Posey, Shad Moss, Kate Walsh, Heather Locklear, Mac Miller, and Mike Tyson. (Gary Reber)

Special features include eight deleted and extended scenes (HD 09:51) and an UltraViolet digital copy.

The 1080p AVC 1.78:1 digitally photographed picture exhibits well-balanced contrast, very good shadow delineation, and at times vibrant colors. Still there are some inconsistencies in which occasionally, the imagery appears murky, soft, and dull, with flat details and bland colors. Resolution is generally quite good, with fine detail revealed in close-ups. Black levels are decent, while fleshtones exhibit naturalness. Overall, this is a pleasing picture. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack sounds good, with a lively, aggressive surround mix, and generally good fidelity. The music score is presented on a fairly wide soundstage and extends to the surrounds. The "horror" sound effects are effectively energized with, at times, directional sound elements. Both exterior and interior atmospherics are realistic enough but often sound "produced." Dialogue is intelligible but at times wanting in spatial integration. Overall, while serviceable, this is an undistinguished soundtrack due to the "produced" quality. (Gary Reber)
