Sampson (Sutherland) is king of the jungle, ah... zoo, and the only thing he loves more than telling stories is his son Ryan (Cipes). When Ryan is crated away one day, Sampson makes his escape and hits the streets of New York. And with zoo pals Benny (Belushi), Nigel (Izzard), Bridget (Garofalo), and Larry (Kind) along for the rescue, they discover just how dangerous it can be out in The Wild. (Tricia Spears)

Special features are the same as on the DVD (except with four additional deleted scenes and all with optional commentary with Director Steve "Spaz" Williams and Producer Clint Goldman): five deleted scenes, the Everlife Real Wild Child music video, and the 3-1/2-minute" Eddie Izzard Unleashed" and 2-1/2-minute "Meet Colin: The Rock Hybax" featurettes. There is also a Movie Showcase and up-front ads.

With incredible dimensionality and very well-rendered details, the 1.78:1 Blu-ray Disc image looks very good. Colors are well balanced. This is a very good picture. (Danny Richelieu)

The uncompressed linear PCM 5.1-channel encoding is a noticeable improvement over the Dolby® Digital encoding, with tighter, deeper bass; a more fluid, natural midrange; and less sparkle in the treble extension. The mix is still not overly exciting. (Danny Richelieu)
