The final chapter in the X-Men trilogy (or is it?), The Last Stand finds your favorite mutants—Wolverine (Jackman), Storm (Berry), and Rogue (Anna Paquin)—fighting against an injectable "cure" that will relieve them of their powers, and allow them to blend into society. Led by Professor Xavier (Stewart), the mutants ask for tolerance and acceptance, but his nemesis, Magneto (McKellen), will not bend and declares an all-out war. (Jack Kelley)

The two commentary tracks: one with Director Brett Ratner and Screenwriters Zak Penn and Simon Kinberg; and the other with Producers Avii Arad, Lauren Shuler Donner, and Ralph Winter are the same as on the DVD; as well as 12 deleted or alternate scenes with optional commentary; and previews. There is also a trivia track, which is not on the DVD.

The 2.35:1 Blu-ray Disc exhibits adequately well-resolved details, but color balance is a little too blown out, making the image look too contrasted. The image can look overly soft at times. (Danny Richelieu)

The lossless DTS-HD Master Audio ES 6.1-channel soundtrack is probably spectacular, because the core DTS® stream that the Samsung BD-P1000 player decodes sounds great. The mix is exciting, and fidelity is first-rate. Surround imaging is fantastic, bass is tight and powerful, and dialogue is crystal clear. (Danny Richelieu)
