In the brutal World War II Battle of Saipan, tormented marine Sergeant Joe Enders (Cage) is given the mission to guard native American Ben Yahzee (Beach), a young Navajo trained in the one wartime code never broken by the Japanese: the Navajo Code. "Windtalkers" is loosely based on a real-life WWII operation. (Suzanne Hodges)

The 2.40:1 Blu-ray Disc picture is very pleasing, with well-balanced colors and deep blacks. Details can be impressively sharp, but the entire image often looks flat and unrealistic. (Danny Richelieu)

The lossless DTS-HD™ Master Audio 5.1-channel soundtrack can very exciting, I'm sure, with well-placed images around the room and very good fidelity. Still, the core DTS stream features superb dynamic range, with subtle sound cues that are easy to pick out, even in the most extreme scenes. The lossless version of the track should sound even better. (Danny Richelieu)
