WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
A compelling epic of a triumph of the heart. This is an exhilarating story of challenge and leadership as the English ophaned “PK” (Dorff) takes on the South African apartheid system and the social injustices he sees around him, and finds that one person really can make a difference by helping the racially segregated Africans fight for justice.

LaserDisc Picture:
This is a powerful film with an alluring visual beauty that has been masterfully transferred and matted at 1.81:1 with not a trace of noise artifacts. The color fidelity and balance is outstanding, with a film-like natural quality that is stunning.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The Dolby Surround® soundtrack mix is superb. The beautiful music score by Hans Zimmer, recorded by Jay Rifkin, is spectacular. The score presents an excellent challenge for a home theatre system’s music capability, particularly the reproduction of the massive male choral voicings heard throughout.
