WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
A compelling, gorgeously photographed Panavision motion picture with a volatile mix of action and suspense filmed in and around New Mexico’s glistening White Sands National Park. The story of a small-town lawman who takes on a murdered FBI agent’s identiy and becomes the man on the inside of an international crime ring.

LaserDisc Picture:
Peter Menzies’ cinematography is strikingly panoramic with visual compositions that fully utilize the widescreen scope format. The picture quality is pristine, noisefree, and even throughout. The digital video transfer at 2.35:1 is a delight with its perfectly balanced color and natural film-like appearance.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is well recorded with excellent stereo dimensionality in the front channels to complement the on-screen action. The somewhat subdued Dolby Surround® mix provides the necessary envelopment to support the moods of this white-hot thriller.
