WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Winner of seven Academy Awards®, Dances With Wolves is an extraordinary tribute to the great Sioux Indians and the passing of the American frontier into history. Filled with a rare compassion and authenticity regarding the Native American way of life, the film is both epic in scope and intimate in its portrayal of one man’s search for his own humanity. Kevin Costner’s performance as that man, and his directorial debut, is awesome.

LaserDisc Picture:
The Panavision® 2.35:1 composition has been cropped to 2.0:1. The digital transfer radiates with exceptional visual warmth and stunning color fidelity.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
Combine its magnificent imagery with the glorious musical score composed and conducted by multiple Academy Award® winner John Barry and you will be emotionally impacted like never before. The remarkable full orchestral recording by Shawn Murphy soars with lyrical rapture.
