WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Based on the book “Bruce Lee: The Only Man I Knew,” by Linda Lee Caldwell, Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story reveals the man behind the legend. This is a wonderful film about the awesome fighter, and his skill, romance and spiritual triumphs. While historically far from accurate, Dragon tells the story of Lee’s life the way audiences would like to believe it was.

LaserDisc Picture:
The transfer quality on this LaserDisc is excellent and is indicative of the significant improvements that have occurred just over the past year in mastering. Fleshtones are accurate and always natural in their hues. The picture, while soft, delivers a flawless image with crisp, accurate color, deep blacks and excellent shadow detail. There is virtually a complete absence of video artifacts and noise. The aspect ratio is 2.29:1, slightly re-composed from the original 2.35:1 scope ratio.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is superb, with excellent scene-to-scene surround ambience. The Foley recording work is outstanding and makes for very exciting fight scenes. Randy Edelman’s music score is well recorded with excellent stereo definition.
