WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
This is the “unrated” uncensored version of Body Of Evidence, the erotic thriller which has been depicted as “bold, shocking, titillating.” It contains extra footage of erotic game-playing and sex scenes that makes this strictly adult fare. The story is about a young woman who apparently kills her older, wealthy lover with an overdose of intense sex and cocaine. She is accused of murder and must stand trial. During the course of the trial she has a steamy affair with the lawyer (Willem Defoe) who defends her. The young seductress is played by Madonna. Joe Mantegna plays the prosecuting attorney.

LaserDisc Picture:
This 1.78:1 transfer has excellent shadow detail. Color balance is generally consistent scene to scene and flesh tones look natural overall.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The sound is generally good although with little stereo definition and subtle surround effects. A more aggressive surround presentation that could have made for a more dramatic enveloping effect.
