WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Until The End Of The World is based on an original idea by director Wim Wenders and Solveig Dommartin set against the threat of nuclear holocaust in the year 1999. This provocative and breathtaking work of art is a mysteriously and hypnotically beautiful film which combines science fiction, spy thrillers and metaphysical mysteries into a unique motion picture experience.

LaserDisc Picture:
The scenes are packed with startling, rapturous images extraordinarily captured by cinematographer Robby Muller. Much of this movie was shot in High Definition Video and transferred to film on special Sony high definition equipment. The images are bright and natural looking with excellent color balance. The transfer at about 2.0:1 is crisp.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The aggressively encoded Dolby Surround® soundtrack is magnificent and otherworldly futuristic. The music score provides excellent extended bass response and features atmospheric songs by R.E.M., U2, Talking Heads, Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel and others. The movie is a sight and sound delight.
