WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
This is the world’s first all-digital motion picture. It was recorded, mixed and mastered in the digital domain and released in the now-defunct Cinema Digital Sound process. Although it’s a sonic masterpiece, the story leaves something to be desired: Sikking plays an Air Force stealth pilot who ejects from his jet only to awaken under the control of a probing psychiatrist (Elizondo) in re-hashed “Twilight Zone” trappings. Still, its an aural must for collectors.

LaserDisc Picture:
The digital video transfer’s picture quality is sumptuous. The aspect ratio is about 2.0:1.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
While current Dolby Surround® processors do not provide for the split surround capabilities produced on the six -track master, our Fosgate Processor did a remarkable job of producing an aggressive split surround stereo effect from the Dolby encoded mix.
