WSR Narrative Review |

Story Synopsis:
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers team up in Predator when they are sent to rescue hostages held by guerrilla fighters in Central America. But on their arrival, they discover they have become the hunted when they square off against an intelligent, yet horrifying alien creature with chameleon-like capabilities.
LaserDisc Picture:
The picture quality of the transfer is good. The aspect ratio was matted to 1.78:1.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The sound is panoramic, tight, punchy and spectacular, always an enhancement to the thrill-a-second action. There are explosions with rumbling bass, lots of Foley one-on-one combat sounds, and eerie sound effects that put you almost inside the predator’s ugly head. The thrilling music score by Alan Silvestri keeps the tension of the films at a constant high. The soundtrack recordings are ultra-dynamic with excellent three-dimensional soundstaging.
