This special edition set includes the original theatrical trailer and materials only available on LaserDisc, including a glimpse into the process used to create the famed ballroom sequence, and an alternate version of Be Our Guest, featuring Belle’s father Maurice as the amazed guest of honor. There is a fascinating section which shows The Four Stages of Animation through a sequence from concept to completed scene of storyboards, rough animation, cleanup and final color. The CAV format allows viewers to closely study the detailed animation process which entailed 120,000 drawings and 1,295 painted backgrounds.
