WSR Narrative Review |

Story Synopsis:
Scent Of A Woman is a tour de force for Al Pacino, who won his first Oscar® for Best Actor, playing the blind, bitter and self-destructive retired Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade. In an attempt to earn extra money, a prep school student (Chris O’Donnell) agrees to care for the gruff old man, and the two embark on a journey that will change both of their lives. The performances are fabulous, the story is moving and—Hoo-Ahh!—the characters are unforgettable.
LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.85:1 transfer is absolutely impeccable with excellent color fidelity throughout. You will be captivated with its stunning cinematography and the realism that this film expresses. A real treat for the eyes.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
Not only is it visually gorgeous but the sound is exceptional with a very compelling but subtle Dolby Surround® ambience. The film is exquisitely enhanced with its engaging sound effects and complemented with Thomas Newman’s beautiful music score.
